Nicole Ari Parker has worked on film, television, and on stages. She was best known for playing Teri (the vigorous legal) Joseph. Her name is currently her husband's name, Nikki Kodjoe. Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland she showed an inclination toward acting since the age of five and was awarded an award for the best Actress award at a Maryland high-school competition. Contractor, a Mumbai-born Indian and who was a resident of Nigeria since she was seven years old, was well-versed in different cultures around the world and was able to travel at such a young stage. She attended an boarding school in London between 7 and 9. Then, the family relocated from London in Toronto, Canada. Contractor trained and eventually became a dancer of classical style in Toronto. She attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts, a high school for the arts that was specifically designed to be a school that taught not just dance but also theatre. Contractor, who had been dancing for nearly 10 years by the time she was when she decided to concentrate on acting. She received a full-scholarship grant to pursue a degree at the University of Toronto after graduating.
